BETWEEN NORTH AND WORTH - Episode 2 Transcription

Thank you to everyone who listened to the last podcast. The next update was scheduled to be every other week, but we managed to record it a little early, so we're bringing it to you.

We finally left February behind and just when we thought spring was on the way, the cold weather has come back and we've been experiencing big temperature fluctuations. How is everyone doing?

Introducing the comments we received

We'll start this podcast by answering some of the comments we received after our last broadcast and before that.

📩 Comment from Tomoko

Hello, nice to meet you 😊 I found out about the brand on Instagram. It has a great concept and the clothes are very stylish. I haven't bought anything yet, but I'd love to try it out! I've been checking out Instagram because it looks like it would look good on my husband. I'm looking forward to seeing your updates ♪

Thank you, Tomoko.

The last time was my first podcast, and I didn't expect to read comments so soon on the second one, but I received very nice words. I'm happy to receive a response, but it also motivates me and gives me all the strength. I'm really grateful.

Thank you for liking HOKKAIDOGRAPHY. I'm also grateful that you found me on Instagram. I understand that ordering apparel online can be a little worrying about sizing and materials, but if you have any concerns, please contact me at any time. I run the shop by myself, so I'm confident that I can handle every detail, so please don't hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.

📩 Comment from SUNBOSE

This is my first comment. I saw your ad on IG and was interested, so I checked out your website. I was captivated by your brand concept and passion for apparel. I lived in Tokyo for a while, but I've been back in Hokkaido for 10 years now.

I'm once again being reminded of the charms of Hokkaido, which are different from when I was a teenager, and although using the word "representing" may sound a little cheesy, I feel like my love for my hometown is growing day by day. I love Hokkaido, but I'm not so keen on apparel that shows my love for Hokkaido so prominently, but HOKKAIDOGRAPHY's designs are spot on, and I think it's a great brand that lets you casually feel your love for Hokkaido in the clothes you wear every day!

Thank you SUNBOSE for your enthusiastic comments.

It's been 10 years since you returned from Tokyo. Perhaps it's experience or age, but the more time passes, the more you see the charm of Hokkaido. I can really relate to the feeling of your love for your hometown deepening.

The word "represent" has a light image, but I like it quite a bit. I think it's a word that exudes the land, culture, pride, style, and so on, more than just the meaning of "representative" or "origin". Represent Hokkaido, represent each city, town, and village, that feeling is the best.

Actually, I once released some apparel with "HOKKAIDO" printed on the chest, but there was no reaction at all... Now I'm working hard to make lots of cool products that can be integrated into your daily life while still exuding a Hokkaido vibe, so please look forward to what I'll be doing in the future.

Recent events

Recently, I had a chance to meet up with some old friends. I was inspired by everyone. We were young, but now we are in our mid-40s. Time has flown by, but we are now fully grown adults. We are now completely in the realm of old men.

In life, there are good times and bad times, and depending on when you meet, you can see different expressions on each person's face. This time, I thought that it was the most difficult time so far. I wonder if that's what it's like to be in your mid-40s.

Even so, we encouraged each other, talked about our recent situations, and talked about silly things from the past. I realized once again how important friends are. Everyone lives in their own place, and despite hitting various obstacles, they keep moving forward. When I see them like that, I naturally think, "I have to try harder, too."

I look forward to the day we can meet again, and today I will continue to take each step one by one.

March product release schedule

Reservations for March products are scheduled to begin the week of March 17th. The reservation period will be about a week, and products are scheduled to be delivered in mid-April. This time, with spring in mind, we are also preparing T-shirts. The designs are all cool products that subtly promote Hokkaido, so we hope you will look forward to them.

We will post the latest information on our Instagram and blog, so please check it out.
